Conserve (v.) Protect from harm or destruction.
Decimate (v.) Kill, destroy, remove a large percentage.
Deforestation (n.) The action of clearing a wide area of trees.
Ecosystem (n.) A biological community of interdependent and interacting organisms.
Global (adj.) Relating to the whole world.
Photosynthesis (n.) The process by which green use sunlight to make foods from carbon dioxide and water.
Potential (adj.) Showing the ability to become something.
Prognosis (n.) A forecast of the likely outcome of a situation.
Retardant (n.) A fabric or substance that prevents the outbreak of something, usually fire.
Spawning (v.) Producing a large amount of eggs or offspring.
Sustain (v.) Support physically or mentally.
